cost tracking

Your revenue already has a dashboard. Your costs do not. Restaurant Daily records what the kitchen spends and who worked, day by day.

Where a delivery kitchen loses track

Packaging is a real cost, counted like a small one

Boxes, sleeves, cutlery, and tape go out with every order. Bought in bulk, drawn down invisibly, and rarely reconciled against orders shipped.

Supplier bills stack up unmatched

Deliveries arrive daily, bills arrive weekly, and payments go out monthly. Without a running record per supplier, an overcharge looks the same as a normal bill.

Petty cash walks out unlabelled

A gas cylinder, a delivery bag, a quick market run. Small amounts, paid from the drawer, with nothing written down against a category.

What Restaurant Daily covers

Petty cash vouchers

Every payout from the drawer is a voucher against a category, entered by the person who paid it. The day's spend is readable the same evening.

Supplier bills

Bills recorded against a supplier list, with what was paid and what is still outstanding. A running position per supplier rather than a pile of paper.

Attendance and payroll

Staff mark attendance, and the month's pay is worked out from those days with advances and deductions applied.

Daily close on record

Cash counted against what the day should hold, submitted once and frozen. Corrections are new entries with their own trail.

What sits outside the product

Platform revenue does not come into Restaurant Daily. There is no Swiggy or Zomato connection, no per-platform sales figure, and no commission reconciliation. Delivery platform reporting is deliberately out of scope.

For the payout question there are two free calculators that need no account: the aggregator payout calculator works backwards from an order total to what should have landed, and the aggregator margin calculator shows what is left on a plate after commission and packaging.

There is also no per-brand split. A kitchen running several brands from one address records costs at the kitchen level, which is honest about what the numbers can tell you.
